Reed Business Support are delighted to be working with and Edinburgh based independent membership organisation that are a recognised and established institution in the heart of Edinburgh.

Reporting to the Faculty Development Manager, the post holder will provide on-going administrative and policy support to emerging and established faculties of the College. This will include direct administrative, project and secretariat support to several faculties and their respective management committees and groups.

Duties include-

• Working closely with the Faculty Development Manager and the wider Faculty Administration Team, but also acting on their own initiative, to fulfil the administrative and support requirements fore stablished faculties within the College

• Providing a secretariat support function for faculties and their respective committees including-arranging and communicating meeting dates, arranging rooms and catering, compiling and distributing agendas and meeting papers

• Recording decisions and actions at meetings through the production of clear and concise minutes and diligently pursuing actions to ensure they are completed

• Arranging and facilitating events within and out with the College in support of faculty aims and objectives

• Supporting the appointed Faculty Leads by contributing to the preparation of regular and ad-hoc progress and status reports for College oversight boards and committees

• Acting as an authoritative first point of contact for the faculties by responding quickly to any enquiries from members or prospective members

• Maintaining full and accurate records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and College information governance policies and procedures

• Arranging travel and accommodation, as required

• Drafting email and written correspondence to a high standard

• Verifying and processing expense claims and preparing income and expenditure reports against budgets

• Processing application forms, utilising good judgement and knowledge to ascertain candidate eligibility in line with established criteria and regulations

• Supporting colleagues within the wider Faculty Administration Team and the Faculties and Governance Department, providing cover and assistance where required

• Undertaking any other reasonable duties in support of the faculties or the College, as required
